why buy from ojm?
FreeAll our hay and straw are baled into conventional small bales and packed into bundles of 21 using top of the range, specialised machinery. This enables us to handle large quantities efficiently. If you require small quantities either as a one-off delivery or on a regular basis, we are happy to help.
Our hay is from meadow grasses and our straw is sourced and baled locally by ourselves. Our haylage is made from rye/timothy mix ley grasses and are specifically grown to create a top quality feed for your horse. The haylage is baled into small bales and sealed in 8 layers of wrap to achieve a protective, airtight seal for minimal wastage. This process makes the bales ideal for owners with only one horse or those that can’t utilise a bigger bale in one go. If you require a larger quantity, our haylage is also available in a 9-bale wrapped pack. This means that they are baled as individual small bales and 9 bales are then packed together and wrapped as one big bale. This process makes big bale haylage easier to handle, rationing simpler and a lot less mess overall!
Our small flake shavings are supplied in 20kg bales. They are a small flake, dust extracted shaving which are not only soft and absorbent but very clean with an excellent spread volume. We now also offer Bedmax and Littlemax shavings and Strawmax straw pellets.
We deliver free of charge when you order a minimum of 20 bales. This can be a mix of hay, straw, haylage and shavings. There is no minimum order to receive free delivery on our large bales of hay and haylage. Free delivery is subject to location being within our delivery radius, anywhere outside of this may be eligible for a delivery charge. Please get in touch for more information.
